Join Samphire Rottnest for a new four-part dining series celebrating Australian cuisine from coast to countryside.
Spanning four curated events from May to August, Home Grown explores the culinary essence of Western Australia, Tasmania, South Australia, and New South Wales.
Each evening pairs extraordinary regional produce with premium wines and immersive storytelling, including live chef demonstrations, guided tastings, and rotating guest appearances from some of Western Australia’s most passionate culinary voices.
Each Home Grown evening is hosted in the Bayside Room at Samphire Rottnest and begins with a welcome drink at The Beach Club. Guests will enjoy a multi-course menu inspired by the featured region, paired with wines introduced by experts.

Home Grown Western Australia

The first of the new four-part dining series, discover the culinary essence of Western Australia with a specially curated menu featuring Shark Bay blue swimmer crab, Abrolhos island scallops, Cervantes lobster tortellini, Lake Janis Jersey beef sirloin, sweet beetroot tartin and more. Paired with premium wines from Sandalford’s iconic WA portfolio, introduced by Cellar Door Manager Jamie Forrest.
Begin your evening fireside at The Beach Club before making your way to Bayside Room for a night of exceptional flavours, storytelling, and culinary discovery.

Home Grown South Australia

South Australia takes centre stage for the third Home Grown dining experience.
Guests will dine along a shared long table, set beneath soft candlelight and accompanied by a live jazz duo. From Rottnest Island gin-cured Hiramasa to emu ravioli, ​​Kinkawooka mussels and char siu pork fillet, the menu weaves together inland heritage and coastal influence.
Paired with iconic wines from Shaw + Smith, Petaluma and Yalumba, this evening captures the incredible depth and diversity of South Australian cuisine.

Home Grown New South Wales

The fourth and final Home Grown dinner brings the vibrant flavours and culinary theatre of New South Wales to Rottnest Island.
The evening begins with a display of whole big-eyed tuna, carved live by Executive Chef Quim Hernandez and Prendiville Group Director of Food Russell Blaikie for the first course. Succeeded by a menu showcasing the full spectrum of NSW’s culinary landscape; Sydney rock oysters, barramundi and blue swimmer crab ravioli, kangaroo and Guinness pot pie, a reimagined classic lamington and more.
Complemented by wines from a selection of wineries across the Hunter Valley.

Home Grown Tasmania

This exclusive evening celebrates the pristine waters and rugged charm of Tasmania.
Begin your evening with freshly shucked St Helen oysters, prepared live by Jerry the King of Oysters, alongside Tasmanian green lip abalone and wild scampi caviar. Followed by Tasmanian salmon cottage pie, lamb rack with smoked eggplant, and warm apple tart.
Paired with cool-climate wines from Tasmania’s most celebrated producers, this is an immersive journey through one of Australia’s most renowned culinary regions.
