Rottnest Volunteer Guides Information Booth

Talk to the Rottnest Volunteer Guides while visiting Wadjemup / Rottnest Island for help planning your island adventure.

The friendly and knowledgeable volunteers are experts in all things Rottnest Island. Join one of their free daily walking tours to learn more about the land you’re visiting.

The guides at the Rottnest Volunteer Guides Information Booth are always happy to help, whether you need directions, maps or have an interest in the island’s complex heritage.

Free walking tours depart daily from the Salt Store building, next to the Information Booth. Environmental awareness and historical education are a primary focus during these informative tours, which cover everything from local sustainability initiatives to the island’s heritage sites.

During the school holidays, additional guides are on hand to run engaging activities for island visitors of all ages. Activities include bird walks, beach discovery walks, storytelling, quiz nights and evening tours.

Expand your knowledge of Wadjemup’s native flora with a copy of Plants of Rottnest Island, a practical field guide written by members of the RVGA. This specialised book details the vegetation, landscapes and coastline of the island in intricate detail.

A book exchange service also operates within the Information Booth.
